Background:
Alma Revueltas is a first grade teacher at Miles Elementary and is the school’s Learning Management System (LMS) Champion. In this role, Ms. Revueltas supports the LMS implementation at her school with Professional Development and support of staff. She is using the LMS to access student learning, differentiate instruction, and reinforce concepts. Mrs. Revueltas is leveraging the LMS to inform her decisions on student learning and lesson delivery. With the LMS, she is able to monitor student progress, reflect on data, and refine her lessons using this data. The data gathered from the LMS is used to detect students success and needs. Ms. Revueltas is also more accountable for her lesson design because standards are being tagged to each assignment. She can then use this evidence to make sure that important learning objectives are covered in each grading period.Next Steps:
