Anthony Hersh provided the majority of the instruction to professors and students throughout the project. "Back end" support was provided by Dr. William Deal. The emphasis of the approach was given to showing the students how to use the tools by creating structure and content in class. We created real and sample Scalar web pages in class with no steps left out. After the basics were introduced the instructions were predominately led by the student's questions and intentions related to their developing projects. Our approach evolved as we learned what the students needed to learn and wanted out of the software solution.
