Scalar Workshops

The ANVC team recently headed up to the University of Washington for a two-day Scalar workshop with faculty and graduate students at the Simpson Center for the Humanities.

The Simpsons Center has been incredibly generous in its support of students and faculty constructing born-digital research projects, and in particular, of projects designed to be either partially or fully realized in Scalar. Once in Seattle, we encountered eight such projects, each with a very clear sense of what is to be gained by presenting their argument, evidence, or research in the multimodal, media-rich formats afforded by Scalar. The two-day workshop included individual design meetings between the principals of all eight projects and a subset of our creative and editorial staff. The workshop also included both introductory and intermediate Scalar seminars and continuous hands-on Scalar lab time.

Let us know if you’d like Scalar to come to your college or university!
