The mobile DJ scene wasn't just sonic, it was also incredibly visual, with hundreds of images related to:
  • business cards
  • party fliers
  • photographs
  • videos
I'm still working to organize all of that, for now, one thing I'm testing is using Flickr's geotagging function to create a map of the Bay Area connected to related images. My first attempt was a map of Imagine parties, complete with flier scans.

For video content, check out DJ Dave Dynamix's excellent and growing Youtube channel that includes footage from the mobile scene in the early 1990s. (He's a member of San Jose's 3 Style Attractions.)
