About the Author
Rachel Deblinger is a Doctoral Candidate in the History department at UCLA. She is currently writing her dissertation, "‘In a world still trembling’: American Jewish philanthropy and the shaping of Holocaust survivor narratives in postwar America (1945-1953)," which explores how American Jews came to know stories about Holocaust survivors in the early postwar period through the efforts of American Jewish communal organizations to aid survivors in Europe. Rachel will file her dissertation and complete her degree in June 2014.
