Hollywood Bowl

In 1926 the Herbert M. Baruch Corporation received one of the larger contracts for a project to turn the Hollywood Bowl, a natural amphitheater in the Hollywood Hills, "into a magnificent garden theater." The company was responsible for fashioning the concrete tiers that were foundational for expanded permanent seating at the bowl.

Approximately 22,500 "opera-chair style" seats were installed in time for the Los Angeles Philharmonic summer concert series, an annual event initiated in 1922.
