Vulnicate

(Vulnerable        +        Complicated)

5. vulnicate: (verb) the act of cracking open your heart and letting it bleed again so that it may heal.

Sometimes we have to stitch our hearts up in temporary ways. They become full of fault lines and fissures. The have cracks and massive scars running through them made from living a woundom life. These cracks and scars save us in the moment. They allow us to go on in the face of horrendous loss and heartbreak. When one has had some space and time, one can vulnicate one’s heart, to open it back up, let it bleed out all of the toxins, the fear, the jealousy, the doubt, the pain, the sadness. By letting these things out the heart has a chance to heal fully and ready itself for love. This allows one to retain a sense of vulnerability even in complicated situations, thus increasing capacity for love and understanding, especially of the self.

I am in in the process of vulnicating.
