FotoVoice

Community project.

Who are you?

Words that came up:

Junk

Trash

Missing from the image
My heaven and my hell

Family

My space

Trashy

I hate it

This is it

Fotovoice Project:

We started a FotoVoice project in January. I asked that the gentlemen bring in images from their community. Images of home, images of their community, images that come to mind when they ask the question, "Who are you?". Largely, this was forgotten about during the week, and we ended up just looking at cell phone pictures. I tried to assemble some of the cell phone and other images, but there were only a few who remembered to send me the images.

We had hoped to have these images for the slide show at the Encuentro, but since we only had a few images, we filled in with images from our work throughout the year as well as the FotoVoice project from the community. There was a large interest in technology, but often not enough follow through to have material on site to work with, so we would use our time together for people to find the material rather than have a lot of time to create something with the material.

The gentlemen of Changing Ways are asked to bring in pictures of home. Particularly in regards to who they are in that space. What does that space say to them about who they are now and if there is something there that pushes them to be who they were before they went in.
