We did a writing exercise called Exquisite Corpse to debrief the Encuentro. Our prompt was "What are you thoughts about the Encuentro?". 

Each person starts writing on a blank piece of paper. We write for one minute. When time is called, you stop writing immediately, even if mid-thought or mid-sentence. Then, you fold the paper over so that the only thing visible is the last line of text. This might be one word, this might be almost a full line. Everyone passes their paper to the person on their right and looking only at the last line of text, you write whatever is prompted from that last line. You write for minute on this new paper, fold the paper so again only last line is visible and pass it to your right. 

This process is repeated until everyone has written on each page at least one time. If it is a large group, one time around will be enough. We did one and a half circles because Windell arrived just as we were finishing up, and we wanted to be able to include his voice in the exercise. 

When we were done writing, everyone found their original paper, and we read the responses out loud. It was a very moving experience for us all to hear the experiences reflected back and to hear so much commonality in the experience. This exercise was also really nice for the group as it gave an opportunity for every member to have his voice be heard, something that has been a struggle throughout the year. There are certain voices that tend to be much more loud and forceful and dominate the conversation despite the step up/step back part of our community agreements. This gave equal opportunity for everyone to express themselves and be heard.
